What are the differences in JETI DUPLEX telemetry?

JETI DUPLEX telemetry has undergone a long development and today there are three different options for telemetry data transmission.

JETI Telemetry Communication Protocol

This document describes a telemetry communication protocol that is used by sensors of JETI model. Telemetry information is transmitted through a one-wire bus from sensors to receiver. As a following step, the information is wirelessly sent to another device, such as transmitter, TX module or JETIBOX profi.

JETI Duplex 2.4GHz TX Modules

Reviews and examples of use of JETI model TX modules. Interconnection of transmitters equipped with Duplex system in general.

Receivers Duplex R14, R18 and their satellites

These receivers fill the last gap in Duplex receiver line and they are designed mainly for big and huge RC planes. We can see effort to make it as safe and reliable as possible. After the first insight into the receiver we can see that they did not only add more output connectors and pushed up the price. The only difference between R14 and R18 is the number of output channels. Other functions are the same thus the text bellow is written only about 18 channel receiver Duplex R18.

Duplex FAQ

Wireless connection of two transmitters with „Instructor-Student“ function

Principal of the connection is very simple. Student’s transmitter equipped with JETI Duplex module transmits normally at 2.4 GHz. This signal is received by JETI Rsat (alternatiovely DC/DS transmitters if one of them functions as the instrucor). Its PPM output is connected to the „instructor-student“ connector of instructor’s transmitter. Model is controlled and communicates only with instructor’s transmitter and it does not matter at what frequency it transmits, it can be run at 2,4 GHz as well.
